Do I have to be a "history expert"?
- No. Members have an interest in history, and have a desire to learn more from others.
- Many of our members have specialized knowledge in certain areas or topics. Many others have a casual
interest in local history and enjoy the fellowship of the organization.
Do I need to be a member to attend a scheduled event?

The Historical Society greatly appreciates the donation of historical documents, books, photographs, and family histories.
Copies of original documents are also appreciated (assuming no infringements). We have copying and digital scanning
equipment available and would be appreciative of local historical documents that can be provided.
Gifts-in-kind are accepted with the understanding that their
ownership is transferred to the Historical Society. We reserve the right to use these items and determine the retention and
disposition of all such gifts.
Donated items that have financial value will be appraised and a tax receipt will be issued in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
regulations and guidelines, and Historical Society policies and procedures.
Please contact the Historical Society to discuss your donation of a gift-in-kind.
